US/UK Private Client Tax Assistant Manager/Manager – Hybrid

About the role

We are seeking a US/UK Private Client Tax Assistant Manager or Manager to join a boutique cross‑border tax advisory practice in London. The role offers a blend of compliance, advisory and client relationship work for high‑net‑worth individuals and internationally mobile clients.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of US and UK private clients, ensuring timely and accurate tax compliance.
• Prepare and review UK Self Assessment and US Federal tax returns.
• Review junior team members’ work, providing coaching and technical guidance.
• Advise clients on UK and US tax implications of cross‑border mobility.
• Identify tax planning opportunities and support partners on advisory projects.
• Liaise with clients, HMRC and the IRS.
• Monitor budgets and financial performance of engagements.
• Contribute to business development and firm growth.

Required profile

• 4‑6+ years’ experience in US/UK private client tax.
• Experience handling portfolios of high‑net‑worth individuals, entrepreneurs or private‑equity executives.
• ATT and Enrolled Agent (EA) qualification, or equivalent experience.
• CTA or CPA qualification is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CCH Axcess or CCH ProSystem.
