US/UK Tax Senior

About the role

We are seeking a US/UK Tax Senior to join our growing professional services firm in London. The role combines UK and US personal tax compliance with advisory work for high‑net‑worth individuals and internationally mobile clients, offering exposure to complex cross‑border tax projects.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of UK personal tax clients, preparing and reviewing self‑assessment returns and supporting capital gains, inheritance and residency matters.
• Prepare and review US individual income tax returns (Form 1040 and schedules) and related disclosures such as FBARs and Form 8938.
• Assist clients with expatriate and cross‑border tax compliance, including foreign tax credit calculations and treaty considerations.
• Support complex US/UK advisory engagements, including residency, domicile and internationally mobile employee tax issues.
• Research technical tax matters and deliver client‑facing advice while building strong client relationships.

Required profile

• Experience in a US/UK private client or expatriate tax team.
• Qualified or studying towards a professional tax/accounting qualification (EA, ATT, CTA, ACA, ACCA, CPA).
• Strong understanding of UK and US individual tax compliance requirements.
• Excellent communication, analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Organised, proactive and keen to develop technically.

Required skills

• UK self‑assessment tax return preparation.
• US individual income tax return (Form 1040) preparation.
• FBAR filing and Form 8938 reporting.
• Foreign tax credit calculations and treaty analysis.
