UX/Product Designer

About the role

Moorepay is rebuilding its payroll and HR platform and needs a hands‑on UX/Product Designer to shape complex features from discovery through delivery. You will work within two product pods, delivering end‑to‑end experiences that simplify compliance for thousands of UK SMEs.

Key responsibilities

• Design complete feature flows for complex payroll and HR workflows.
• Translate research findings and business requirements into intuitive user journeys.
• Create UI designs for all states, including error, empty and loading scenarios.
• Write clear, user‑focused microcopy.
• Produce engineering‑ready specifications and hand‑offs.
• Ensure accessibility compliance (WCAG 2.1 AA) and usability best practices.
• Contribute to and evolve the company design system.
• Leverage analytics, support insights and user feedback to inform design decisions.

Required profile

• Proven UX or Product Design experience in B2B SaaS or similarly complex software.
• Track record of shipping production‑ready features as part of cross‑functional teams.
• Ability to work one sprint ahead of engineering and collaborate closely with Product Owners and Tech Leads.

Required skills

• Figma (including Variables and Dev Mode)
• Design tools such as Design Cursor and Claude
• AI tools: Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini
• User research and testing platforms: UserTesting, Hotjar, FullStory, Maze, Galileo AI
• Analytics tools: Microsoft Clarity
• Accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 AA)
