Van Driver – Furniture Delivery

About the role
Responsive Personnel is partnering with a leading furniture retailer to recruit Van Drivers for their growing delivery operation in Swindon. You will work alongside a Driver’s Mate to safely transport and deliver large furniture items to customers' homes, ensuring a high level of service.
Key responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive vehicle checks before each shift and report any defects immediately.
- Deliver large furniture and home furnishings to customers, following manual handling procedures.
- Use handheld PDA scanners to record goods loaded onto and off the vehicle.
- Adhere to scheduled shift start times between 12:00 and 14:00, Monday to Friday.
Required profile
- Full UK Category B driving licence.
- Age over 25 for insurance purposes.
- Successful completion of a driving assessment, including theory, practical, and drug & alcohol tests.
- Strong communication, organisational abilities and attention to detail.
