VAT Accountant – Chester

About the role

Atrium UK is seeking an accomplished VAT Accountant to join its VAT and Tax team in Chester. The role involves managing VAT reporting compliance for multiple European and international markets, ensuring deadlines are met and providing expert advice on VAT queries.

Key responsibilities

• Manage VAT reporting compliance for a group of markets within Europe and other international jurisdictions.
• Ensure internal and external VAT filing deadlines are consistently met.
• Provide advice on VAT compliance related queries and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of local VAT legislation and act as an internal consultant.
• Establish and nurture formal relationships with internal customers and senior management.

Required profile

• Proven VAT compliance experience in at least one jurisdiction within a multinational tax environment.
• International VAT/TAX exposure is advantageous.
• Strong ability to manage competing priorities and work autonomously.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences.
• Analytical mindset with a team‑oriented approach.
