VAT Lead – Industrial & Manufacturing

About the role

As a VAT Lead in the industrial and manufacturing sector, you will manage VAT compliance and reporting to ensure smooth financial operations. Based in Stoke Poges, you will oversee tax processes, support the finance team and act as the primary point of contact for VAT matters.

Key responsibilities

• Manage VAT compliance and ensure timely submission of VAT returns.
• Review and reconcile VAT accounts for accuracy and consistency.
• Provide guidance on VAT‑related queries to internal stakeholders.
• Maintain compliance with UK VAT regulations and monitor legislative changes.
• Support audits and liaise with tax authorities as required.
• Maintain accurate records of VAT transactions and documentation.
• Identify opportunities to improve VAT processes and efficiencies.
• Collaborate with the finance team to integrate VAT requirements into broader financial strategies.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of UK VAT regulations and compliance requirements.
• Experience managing EMEA VAT reporting and reconciliation processes.
• Methodical approach with high attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills to explain VAT concepts to non‑specialists.
• Problem‑solving ability to address VAT‑related issues.
