VAT Manager – Advisory

About the role

We are seeking a proactive VAT Manager to join our advisory team in the City of London. You will work independently on client portfolios while collaborating closely with colleagues to drive business development and deliver high‑quality consultancy services.

Key responsibilities

• Review advice and calculations prepared by team members.
• Liaise with HMRC on client queries.
• Provide VAT advisory services to partners, clients, and internal stakeholders.
• Prepare VAT sections of due‑diligence reports.
• Support business‑development activities, including event attendance, marketing material preparation, and leading target meetings.

Required profile

• Professional qualification preferred (e.g., CTA, ACA).
• Experience in a professional services environment and dealing with HMRC is advantageous.
• Track record of managing a client portfolio and delivering advisory work.
• Strong client‑focused attitude, ability to work unsupervised and within a team, and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to write articles and present at seminars or events is highly desirable.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word.
• Advanced Excel skills.
