Vehicle Dismantler Technician

About the role

We are seeking a Vehicle Dismantler Technician to join a specialist automotive recycling operation in Lewes. This temporary‑to‑permanent position offers full training and the chance to develop a long‑term career in vehicle dismantling and recycling.

Key responsibilities

• Safely drain fuel, oil, coolant and other fluids from vehicles.
• Remove batteries, tyres and other hazardous components in line with environmental regulations.
• Dismantle vehicles and separate recyclable metals, plastics and other materials.
• Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe yard environment.
• Follow all health, safety and environmental procedures.
• Assist with general yard duties and meet daily production targets.

Required profile

• Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling and outdoor work in all weather.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Good understanding of health and safety practices.
• Full UK driving licence is advantageous but not essential.

Required skills

• Proficiency with hand tools.
• Proficiency with power tools.
