Vehicle Mechanic – Military Vehicles

About the role

Join a leading defence contractor as a Vehicle Mechanic, working on a range of military vehicles at the Bovington depot. This permanent position offers a four‑day week and excellent development opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Service, maintain and repair vehicle components and accessories in line with manufacturer and client specifications.
• Remove and refit parts safely and economically using provided equipment.
• Diagnose faults and test vehicles using recognised procedures and diagnostic tools.
• Complete all required paperwork and documentation to the required standard.
• Stay up‑to‑date with the latest vehicle technology through company training programmes.

Required profile

• Fully qualified mechanic (minimum NVQ Level 3) from a recognised training programme.
• Good understanding of health and safety requirements.
• High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
• Proactive problem‑solving attitude.

Required skills

• Vehicle maintenance and repair.
• Fault diagnosis using diagnostic equipment.
• Component removal and refitting.
• Use of mechanical tools and test equipment.
