Vehicle Technician – After‑sales Role in Loughton

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician to join the after‑sales team of a busy main dealer in Loughton. The role offers a clear progression path towards workshop controller, assistant manager and garage manager positions, with a competitive salary package.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs to the highest manufacturer standards.
• Work efficiently to manufacturer‑set timings to maintain productivity.
• Complete accurate diagnostic reports and document all work performed.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised work area.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues and customers.
• Ensure customer satisfaction remains a priority.
• Support and mentor other technicians as required.
• Develop towards assistant manager responsibilities.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent).
• Minimum three years post‑qualification experience in a prestige dealership or similar environment.
• Strong technical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent customer service standards.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of output.
• Full UK driving licence.
• High‑voltage (EV/Hybrid) training preferred.
• Motivated, target‑driven and adaptable within a busy workshop.
