Vehicle Technician – Automotive Dealership

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician to join our established automotive dealership in Dorchester. The role offers a competitive basic salary plus an OTE of around £40,000 and opportunities for progression within the company.

Key responsibilities

• Service, maintain and repair customer vehicles, including routine servicing and mechanical repairs.
• Diagnose faults using modern diagnostic equipment and follow manufacturer procedures.
• Complete work efficiently to high standards of safety and workmanship while meeting productivity targets.
• Maintain accurate job records and collaborate closely with Service Advisors and the after‑sales team.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician with Time‑served Technician status.
• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) and a full UK driving licence.
• Strong knowledge of servicing, maintenance and repair processes.
• Good communication skills and confidence using modern diagnostic tools.

Required skills

• MOT testing procedures.
