Vehicle Technician – Automotive Service Specialist

About the role

We are expanding our team at Listers Lexus Bristol and are looking for a skilled Vehicle Technician. The role is full‑time, Monday to Friday 8 am‑5 pm with occasional Saturday rota work, delivering high‑quality service, repair and diagnostics across our workshop.

Key responsibilities

• Perform servicing, repair and diagnostics on all vehicle types.
• Carry out electrical and mechanical repairs including suspension, steering, brakes, wheel bearings, driveshafts, exhausts and air‑conditioning.
• Maintain and repair EV and hybrid vehicles using electronic diagnostic equipment (batteries, drive motor, auxiliary drive pack and control systems).
• Fit manufacturer accessories and audio equipment.
• Complete service paperwork to manufacturer and brand standards.
• Operate video reporting systems such as CitNOW.
• Collaborate with workshop team members to share knowledge and improve processes.

Required profile

• Experience in the automotive sector as a Vehicle Technician, Mechanic, HGV Mechanic, Auto Electrician, MOT Tester or similar.
• Minimum NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
• Qualification or training in electric and hybrid vehicle systems is desirable.
