Vehicle Technician – Diagnostic & Service Role

About the role

Stellantis UK, operating through Drayton Motors in Bolton, is expanding its service team and is looking for Vehicle Technicians at various levels. The role involves working on a range of Peugeot, Vauxhall and BYD vehicles, including fast‑growing electric models.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out services, repairs and maintenance on customer vehicles.
• Utilise diagnostic equipment to identify and address mechanical, electrical and EV issues.
• Diagnose faults across mechanical, electrical and EV systems.
• Road‑test vehicles before and after repair work.
• Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to customers.
• Complete documentation accurately and efficiently.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent).
• Experience in an independent garage or franchised dealership.
• Motivation to develop technical skills.
• Full UK driving licence.

Required skills

• Use of diagnostic equipment.
• Knowledge of mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of electrical systems.
• Knowledge of EV (electric vehicle) systems.
