Vehicle Technician

About the role

Listers Audi Birmingham is seeking skilled Vehicle Technicians to join its workshop team. You will work on a range of Audi and Volkswagen Group vehicles, providing high‑quality service, repairs and diagnostics in a modern dealership environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform electrical and mechanical repairs, including suspension, steering, brakes, wheel bearings, driveshafts, exhausts and air‑conditioning servicing.
• Diagnose and service electric and hybrid vehicles using electronic diagnostic equipment, focusing on batteries, drive motors, auxiliary drive packs and control systems.
• Fit manufacturer accessories and audio equipment as required.
• Complete all service paperwork to manufacturer and brand standards.
• Use workshop reporting tools such as CitNOW for video reporting.
• Collaborate with workshop colleagues to share knowledge and continuously improve skills.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or working towards it).
• Experience in the automotive sector, preferably with Volkswagen Group vehicles.
• Willingness to learn and develop towards Audi Qualified Service Technician or Master Technician status.
