Vehicle Technician

About the role

Join Halfords Garage Services at a brand‑new Fusion centre in Northwich, where you’ll work in a modern facility delivering first‑class automotive care. As a Vehicle Technician you will perform a mix of routine servicing and complex repairs, contributing to a safe and reliable driving experience for customers.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out standard vehicle maintenance and repair tasks, including oil changes, brake servicing and tyre fitting.
• Diagnose and resolve more advanced issues such as clutch and timing‑belt replacements, coolant system faults, and diesel injector problems.
• Perform electrical diagnostics and repair on vehicle wiring, lighting and sensor systems.
• Inspect, repair and replace suspension, steering and brake components.
• Maintain accurate service records and ensure compliance with safety standards.

Required profile

• Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent experience.
• Full UK driving licence with no more than 9 penalty points.
• Proven experience in diagnostic work on brakes, steering, suspension and engine systems.
• Ability to undertake complex component replacements such as head gaskets, injectors and electrical modules.
