Vehicle Technician – MOT Tester Pathway

About the role

Key responsibilities

• Perform complex repairs such as clutch and timing‑belt replacements and diagnose electrical, braking, steering and suspension systems.
• Carry out MOT tests to DVSA standards once qualified and complete a wide range of maintenance and repair work, from advanced diagnostics to routine servicing.

Required profile

• Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent).
• Minimum 4 years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic in a workshop environment.
• Full driver’s licence with no more than 9 points.
• Proven ability to undertake diagnostic work and complex repairs.
• Willingness to undertake MOT Tester training and qualification.
