Vehicle Technician (Temporary)

About the role

Join the Cheshire Police fleet team as a Vehicle Technician on a temporary basis. You will work in Winsford, maintaining a diverse range of vehicles that support public safety and community services.

Key responsibilities

• Perform service, maintenance and mechanical repairs on cars, vans, trailers and pedal cycles.
• Carry out modifications to meet or exceed DVSA MOT and manufacturer standards.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure all vehicles remain safe and road‑worthy.
• Document work performed and report any issues that could affect vehicle performance.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician or in a similar mechanical role.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with a focus on quality workmanship.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Relevant qualifications or certifications in vehicle maintenance and repair.
