Vehicle Technician Trainer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician to transition into a training role for the Ministry of Defence. You will deliver classroom and workshop instruction to aspiring military vehicle technicians, helping them develop practical skills on vehicle systems and maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver Level 2 and Level 3 theory and practical training on vehicle systems, diagnostics and maintenance.
• Coach, support and assess learners throughout their training journey.
• Prepare engaging lesson plans and practical exercises.
• Ensure all training complies with MOD and awarding body standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician, Vehicle Mechanic or Automotive Engineer (civilian or military).
• Strong knowledge of vehicle systems, diagnostics and maintenance.
• Good communication skills and a desire to develop others.
• No prior teaching qualification required – a fully funded Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training will be provided.

• Starting salary of £37,000, rising to £40,000 after qualification.
