Vehicle Technician Trainer – Off‑Tools Role (MoD)

About the role

This position offers an experienced vehicle mechanic the chance to move off the workshop floor and become a trainer for the UK Ministry of Defence. You will deliver technical vehicle maintenance training, develop course content and benefit from full training and qualification support.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver technical vehicle maintenance training to trainees both online and in workshop settings.
• Develop and update course materials, incorporating new technologies and curriculum guidelines.
• Create a secure and effective learning environment for both virtual and hands‑on sessions.
• Assess trainee performance and contribute to course enhancement.
• Participate in a micro‑teaching session during the interview process.

Required profile

• Level 3 qualified Vehicle Mechanic/Technician or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience on the tools.
• Motivation to transition to an off‑tools, instructional role.
• Willingness to obtain instructor qualifications.
