Vendor Licence Analyst – Remote (UK)

About the role

The Vendor Licence Analyst will join a fast‑growing technology organisation operating in the cyber‑resilience and backup space. Working fully remote across the UK, the role focuses on analysing vendor licensing consumption, commercial commitments and customer usage to improve visibility of licensing positions, renewal exposure and gross‑profit impact.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse vendor licensing consumption and compare it with customer usage.
• Review licensing purchases, monitor vendor commitments and identify renewal exposure.
• Assess licensing efficiency, flag unused capacity and over‑purchasing.
• Identify under‑charging or over‑commitment situations.
• Produce regular licensing and commercial reports.
• Build interactive dashboards using Power BI and Excel.
• Query and analyse large datasets with SQL and Python.
• Report on forecasting, gross‑profit impact and commercial performance.
• Present findings, challenge assumptions and improve data accuracy.
• Support the development of a broader Revenue Operations function.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of commercial or analytical experience, early‑career candidates also considered.
• Strong analytical and commercial mindset with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Proactive, commercially curious and comfortable challenging assumptions.
• Experience in the technology sector is beneficial.
