Venture Debt Investment Analyst – London

About the role

Columbia Lake Partners is a specialist European venture debt fund seeking an Investment Analyst to join its London team. You will work directly on underwriting, structuring and monitoring high‑growth technology companies, gaining deep venture‑debt experience while collaborating closely with senior investment professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain robust financial models for prospective and portfolio companies.
• Analyse cash‑flow durability, liquidity runway, unit economics, revenue quality, churn dynamics and margin sustainability.
• Conduct downside and sensitivity analysis and identify key credit risks with mitigants.
• Support transaction execution, drafting Investment Committee materials and contributing to structuring discussions.
• Monitor portfolio companies, flag early‑warning signals and update internal reporting for quarterly reviews.
• Develop market and sector insight across the European venture ecosystem.

Required profile

• 18 months to 3 years of experience in an analytical finance environment (investment banking, credit, venture or growth investing, consulting, ACA‑qualified roles, etc.).
• Demonstrated ability to rigorously analyse businesses, build clean models and assess cash‑flow and downside risk.
• Strong academic background and a clear, communicative investment view.
