Venue Technician

About the role

The Venue Technician will join a growing events management team, supporting the Venue AV Manager in delivering high‑quality audio‑visual solutions for corporate events. The role involves on‑site installation, operation and maintenance of AV equipment across a variety of venues.

Key responsibilities

• Review job specifications to ensure equipment meets client requirements.
• Produce event information packs and brief on‑site technicians.
• Set up, install, operate and de‑rig AV equipment to a consistently high standard.
• Assist the Venue AV Manager with quoting and specifying AV solutions.
• Book equipment and technical resources, schedule activities and coordinate with headquarters.
• Maintain on‑site AV equipment and storage facilities.

Required profile

• Proven experience in live‑event technical roles, either as an employee or freelancer.
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork abilities, capable of leading a technical crew.
• Excellent end‑user IT competence.

Required skills

• AV installation and configuration.
• Sound engineering for live events.
• Video operation and troubleshooting.
• Basic lighting knowledge.
• End‑user IT skills.
