Vice President, Internal Audit – UK Business Audit

About the role

BNY is seeking a Vice President to lead and deliver complex internal audit projects for its UK Business unit. Based in Manchester, you will oversee end‑to‑end audit engagements, ensuring rigorous testing, regulatory compliance, and actionable insights for senior management.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute and report on high‑complexity audit assignments across the UK business.
• Conduct detailed testing of processes, evaluate adherence to policies and regulations, and track issues to resolution.
• Lead continuous monitoring activities and apply data‑analytics techniques to enhance audit effectiveness.
• Partner with business leaders to remediate identified issues and follow‑up on action plans.
• Contribute to the annual audit universe risk‑assessment and audit plan development.
• Prepare client‑ready documentation and present findings to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Identify opportunities to leverage AI, automation and advanced analytics within the audit function.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in internal audit within a financial institution.
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
• Proven ability to manage multiple audit projects simultaneously.
• Excellent judgment, communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
