Visual Arts Tutor – Film & Media (0.6 FTE)

About the role

Join a forward‑thinking further education provider in East London as a Visual Arts Tutor specialising in Film & Media. You will deliver engaging, industry‑relevant lessons to 16‑19 year‑olds, helping them develop practical creative skills alongside academic study.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess high‑quality lessons across visual arts programmes, including film, graphics and photography.
• Provide tutorial and pastoral support to promote students' academic and personal development.
• Track and report on student progress, attendance and achievement.
• Contribute to curriculum development, course planning and enrichment activities such as trips and industry engagements.
• Collaborate with colleagues to maintain high teaching standards and positive learner outcomes.

Required profile

• Degree (or equivalent) in a relevant visual arts discipline.
• Experience delivering high‑quality teaching and assessment to 16‑19 learners.
• Strong subject knowledge across visual arts, film, graphics or photography.
• Commitment to safeguarding and supporting student wellbeing.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud or similar creative software.
