About the role
We are seeking a passionate Visual Arts Tutor specialising in Film & Media to join a forward‑thinking further education provider in East London. You will work with 16‑19‑year‑old learners, delivering industry‑relevant creative programmes.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, deliver and assess high‑quality lessons across visual arts pathways, including film, graphics and photography.
- Provide academic and pastoral support, monitoring attendance, progress and achievement.
- Contribute to curriculum development, course planning and enrichment activities such as trips and industry engagement.
- Collaborate with colleagues to maintain high teaching standards and positive learner outcomes.
Required profile
- Degree (or equivalent) in a relevant visual arts subject.
- Proven experience delivering teaching and assessment to 16‑19 learners.
- Strong subject knowledge across visual arts disciplines and ability to support student wellbeing.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting positive outcomes for young people.
- Desirable: teaching qualification (or in progress) and industry experience in film, media, graphics or photography.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud or similar creative software.
