Voids Surveyor – Temporary, £43/hr (Umbrella)

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Voids Surveyor on a temporary basis to support council projects in Welwyn Garden City. The role focuses on diagnosing building faults, delivering cost‑effective repair solutions and ensuring compliance with current building regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct thorough building fault diagnosis and produce detailed repair specifications.
• Provide cost‑effective solutions and make technical decisions on site.
• Ensure all work complies with Health & Safety legislation, including CDM and Building Safety Compliance.
• Stay up‑to‑date with current building regulations and apply them in daily tasks.
• Problem‑solve on‑site issues while maintaining the highest safety and quality standards.

Required profile

• BTEC ONC or HNC in Building Studies, or substantial equivalent experience.
• Evidence of continual professional development in construction and health & safety.
• Strong knowledge of current building regulations and standards.
• Significant experience in building fault diagnosis and delivering cost‑effective solutions.
