Volunteer Coordinator

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Volunteer Coordinator to join a purpose‑driven charity. In this remote, full‑time position you will shape the volunteer journey, ensuring every volunteer feels welcomed, supported and valued while contributing to the organisation’s impact.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate recruitment, onboarding and induction of volunteers.
• Maintain accurate volunteer records and ensure compliance with safeguarding and data‑protection requirements.
• Develop and improve processes to create an inclusive volunteer experience.
• Design and deliver engagement, recognition and stewardship initiatives.
• Support colleagues with guidance, tools and best practices for working with volunteers.
• Monitor participation, satisfaction and retention, producing reports and insights.
• Promote inclusive volunteering practices and celebrate contributions across the organisation.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of volunteer management, recruitment, safeguarding and data protection.
• Awareness of equality, diversity and inclusion best practices.
• Familiarity with CRM and volunteer management systems.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building abilities.
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
• Experience coordinating volunteers in a charity or not‑for‑profit setting.
