Waking Night Support Worker

About the role

Look Ahead is seeking a compassionate Waking Night Support Worker to join its Young People Service in Tower Hamlets. The role involves providing 24‑hour support to young people leaving care or experiencing homelessness, without the need for personal care experience.

Key responsibilities

• Build supportive, trusting relationships with young people.
• Collaborate with team members to manage caseloads and administrative duties.
• Develop and monitor personalised Support Plans and key work sessions.
• Assess and manage risks, promoting positive risk‑taking.
• Ensure safety within the living environment and during outings.

Required profile

• Enjoys social interaction and encourages participation in local activities.
• Approachable, open, and comfortable working in a team.
• Calm, resilient and able to maintain clear judgement under pressure.
• Practical, logical, well‑organised and able to handle risk management.

Required skills

• £30,784 per annum, 40‑hour week.
