Ward Manager – Female Personality Disorder Service

About the role

We are looking for a compassionate Ward Manager to lead the team at Waterloo Manor Hospital, the UK’s largest female personality‑disorder service. The role involves overseeing day‑to‑day operations and ensuring the delivery of safe, high‑quality care for women with complex mental health needs.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the ward team to deliver high‑quality patient care.
• Ensure compliance with CQC regulations and standards.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance patient care.
• Monitor and evaluate staff performance, providing support and training as required.
• Manage patient admissions, discharges and transfers.
• Address and resolve issues or concerns promptly and professionally.

Required profile

• Strong clinical and management skills.
• Valid NMC Pin.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of healthcare regulations and best practices.
• Previous experience in complex needs, specialist, or long‑term care settings.
