Warehouse Day Shift Operator – 4 on 4 off

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Day Shift Operator to join a growing air‑freight operation near Heathrow. The position works a 4‑on‑4‑off shift pattern (09:00‑19:00) and involves handling a wide range of cargo in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manual handling of chilled, frozen and ambient freight.
• Loading and unloading vehicles from vans to articulated lorries.
• Operating counter‑balance forklift trucks (1.5t–8t).
• Picking, packing, sorting and splitting shipments accurately.
• Building, sorting and managing aircraft pallet stocks.
• Maintaining accurate warehouse stock records and completing paperwork.
• Using warehouse management systems to log stock movements.
• Collaborating with the operations team to ensure smooth day‑to‑day running.
• Upholding high standards of housekeeping and health & safety.

Required profile

• Minimum of 3 years’ warehouse experience.
• Previous experience in the air freight/air cargo industry (essential).
• Valid Counterbalance FLT Licence (B1). B2 licence advantageous but not required.
• Strong communication and organisational abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a busy warehouse environment.

Required skills

• Counterbalance forklift operation (B1 licence).
• Proficiency with warehouse management systems.
