Warehouse Driver / Forklift Operator – 4‑month contract

About the role

Our client, a global engineering and aerospace organisation, is seeking an experienced Warehouse Driver and Forklift Operator to support a busy logistics operation within a Part 145 aircraft maintenance environment. You will be responsible for the safe movement, handling and transportation of materials across the site and to external locations.

Key responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles and forklifts to transport goods on‑site and off‑site.
• Load and unload materials, ensuring compliance with aviation, quality and security standards.
• Maintain accurate documentation for all movements and deliveries.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and uphold health & safety procedures.
• Collaborate with the wider logistics team to optimise operational efficiency.

Required profile

• Previous experience in warehouse, logistics or supply‑chain environments.
• Valid UK driving licence with a clean record.
• BPSS clearance (or ability to obtain).
• Ability to work 12‑hour shift patterns (5 days on, 4 days off) on a rotating schedule.

Required skills

• Forklift operator certification (or ability to obtain).
• Forklift licence or proven forklift operating experience.
• Operation of material handling equipment.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse health & safety procedures.

What we offer

• £25.71 per hour via umbrella contract.
• 4‑month fixed‑term contract.
• 12‑hour shift pattern with average 40.5 hours per week.
