Warehouse Furniture Grader – Quality Control

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Furniture Grader to join our refurbishment team at our Golborne warehouse. You will assess, grade and document a wide range of furniture items, ensuring they meet our quality standards before they are prepared for resale.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect upholstered, flat‑pack, wooden and fully constructed furniture for damage and usability.
• Assign grades according to our grading guide, considering structural integrity, appearance and functionality.
• Record product details accurately in cloud‑based spreadsheets and verify existing information.
• Wrap and pack graded items safely for transport.
• Collaborate with operatives and engineers to improve grading processes.
• Learn basic restoration techniques for various furniture types.
• Follow SOPs to meet daily, weekly and monthly performance targets.
• Promote and adhere to safety protocols.

Required profile

• Strong eye for detail and ability to evaluate product condition.
• Excellent time‑management skills in a fast‑paced environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Passion for DIY, furniture assembly and refurbishment.

Required skills

• Proficiency in identifying damage, wear and quality concerns.
• Experience with flat‑pack furniture assembly.
• Familiarity with hand tools and power tools (drills, screwdrivers, staplers).
• Competence in spreadsheet‑based data entry (training provided).
