Warehouse & Logistics Manager – £45k + Bonus

About the role

We are seeking a Warehouse & Logistics Manager to lead site operations in Birmingham for a market‑leading manufacturer. This is the first dedicated role of its kind, responsible for transforming transport and warehouse functions, improving fleet efficiency, and enhancing the customer delivery experience.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team of up to 20 operatives, drivers and transport planners.
• Manage day‑to‑day transport operations, route optimisation, vehicle utilisation and cost control.
• Ensure strict compliance with UK transport legislation, Operator Licence, DVSA regulations, driver hours and health & safety policies.
• Introduce continuous improvement initiatives to reduce downtime, lower costs and maximise warehouse efficiency.
• Collaborate with Production Manager and internal teams to deliver seamless end‑to‑end logistics from manufacturing to customer delivery.

Required profile

• Pragmatic, collaborative operational leader thriving in an SME manufacturing environment.
• Hands‑on approach with a strong focus on operational excellence.
• Proven experience managing both transport/fleet operations and warehouse environments.
• In‑depth knowledge of UK transport legislation, DVSA regulations and fleet compliance.
