Warehouse Manager – Food Distribution

About the role

We are partnering with a fast‑growing food distribution business to find an experienced Warehouse Manager. You will lead the day‑shift warehouse team, overseeing goods‑in, put‑away, replenishment and overall efficiency in a temperature‑controlled environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the day‑shift operation, managing goods‑in, stock put‑away and replenishment.
• Supervise a small team, including two supervisors, driving performance, attendance and morale.
• Maintain high stock accuracy and inventory control using a Warehouse Management System (WMS).
• Ensure FEFO principles and temperature‑controlled storage procedures are followed.
• Collaborate with transport, purchasing and supply‑chain teams to guarantee product availability.
• Monitor KPIs and implement continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Handle attendance, performance and disciplinary matters as needed.
• Promote health & safety and food‑safety compliance.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing warehouse operations in foodservice, FMCG or chilled/frozen distribution.
• Strong people‑management skills, able to lead teams through change.
• Familiarity with ambient, chilled and frozen product handling.
• Process‑driven mindset with a focus on efficiency gains.

Required skills

• Warehouse Management System (WMS) proficiency
