Warehouse Manager – Freight Operations

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Warehouse Manager to lead our freight‑focused warehouse in a fast‑growing e‑commerce environment. You will be responsible for ensuring smooth receipt, storage, picking, packing and dispatch of goods while maintaining high standards of accuracy, safety and customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day warehouse operations, ensuring timely and accurate handling of inbound and outbound freight.
• Maintain full compliance with ETSF requirements, customs procedures and all relevant regulatory standards.
• Lead, motivate and develop a team of warehouse staff, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Implement and refine warehouse processes, systems and procedures to boost efficiency and service levels.
• Manage stock control, inventory accuracy and housekeeping standards.
• Utilise Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and barcode scanning technology to maximise performance and traceability.
• Monitor KPIs, produce operational reports and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Ensure health and safety compliance through regular audits, risk assessments and staff training.
• Coordinate with freight, transport, customer service and senior management to ensure seamless operational flow.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Warehouse Manager, preferably within freight, logistics, distribution or e‑commerce.
• Strong knowledge of ETSF operations and compliance requirements.
• Counterbalance Forklift Licence (B1) – essential.
• Good understanding of Health & Safety legislation and best practices.
• Demonstrated ability to implement new processes and systems.
• Excellent organisational, leadership and communication abilities.
