Warehouse Manager

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Warehouse Manager to lead our fast‑paced food distribution centre in Cullompton. The role is responsible for ensuring efficient stock control, order fulfilment and compliance with food safety standards while driving continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee receipt, storage and dispatch of goods, maintaining accurate inventory records.
• Optimise warehouse layout and implement real‑time tracking using a Warehouse Management System.
• Monitor order fulfilment rates and implement process improvements to reduce delays.
• Ensure compliance with health & safety, BRC and HACCP regulations through regular audits.
• Lead, motivate and develop the warehouse team, setting KPIs and reviewing performance.
• Collaborate with transport and third‑party suppliers to coordinate deliveries.
• Manage the warehouse budget, identify cost‑saving opportunities and drive Lean initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing warehouse operations in food manufacturing, FMCG or distribution.
• Strong knowledge of inventory control, supply‑chain processes and health & safety standards.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams and implement performance metrics.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
