Warehouse Night Manager – Night Shift (Oxford)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Night Manager to lead a busy night‑shift warehouse team in Oxford. Reporting to senior operational leadership, you will own the performance, compliance, health and safety, and efficiency of the site while driving a high‑performing culture.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day warehouse operations on a permanent night shift (5:30 pm – 2:30 am).
• Achieve productivity, quality and service targets and drive continuous improvement.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping, safety and operational discipline.
• Plan labour and capacity to match operational growth and volume increases.
• Collaborate with wider operational teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Manage a team of ~30 employees, including Warehouse Supervisors.
• Conduct performance reviews, coaching, and development activities.
• Handle attendance, sickness, absence and employee‑relations matters.
• Support recruitment and retention as the operation expands.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience managing a warehouse, preferably in an FMCG environment.
• Proven ability to lead large night‑shift teams and make real‑time operational decisions.
• Strong focus on health & safety, cost control and inventory accuracy.
• Excellent people‑management skills with a track record of developing staff.
