Warehouse Operative – Ambient, Chilled & Freezer

About the role

We are looking for a Warehouse Operative to work in our Haydock Distribution Centre, handling ambient, chilled and freezer environments. The role is full‑time, Monday‑Friday 14:00‑22:00, with an immediate start.

Key responsibilities

• Pick and prepare customer orders using hand scanners.
• Operate manual handling equipment such as pallet trucks, PPTs and trolleys.
• Load vehicles for delivery and keep the work area clean and safe.
• Work in ambient, chilled or freezer zones while following PPE and break guidelines.
• Collaborate with team members to meet daily targets.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a warehouse, distribution or manufacturing setting.
• Positive “can‑do” attitude and willingness to work in chilled or freezer areas.
• Understanding of Health & Safety standards and ability to pass drug/alcohol and DBS checks.
• Good literacy, numeracy and communication skills.
• Team‑oriented mindset.

Required skills

• Hand scanner operation.

• PPT (powered pallet truck) operation.

What we offer

• Hourly rate of £13.92.
