Warehouse Operative – Automotive Manufacturing

About the role

We are looking for a reliable Warehouse Operative to join a leading automotive manufacturer in Dagenham. The role involves handling materials and goods across the plant, supporting daily operations in a fast‑paced industrial environment. You will receive full training on our internal systems and equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, check and book incoming deliveries onto internal and customer systems.
• Store and manage stock efficiently, including bulk deliveries such as road tankers up to 30,000 L.
• Pick orders, prepare outbound shipments and deliver goods across the site.
• Handle COSHH‑controlled products safely.
• Operate counter‑balance, reach and tow trucks (training provided if required).
• Interact with internal teams and on‑site customers, providing high‑level service.

Required profile

• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced industrial/automotive setting.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow processes accurately.
• Physically fit and able to meet the demands of the role.
• Good communication skills with a customer‑focused approach.
• Basic mental arithmetic and IT proficiency.

Required skills

• Operating counter‑balance, reach and tow trucks.
• Basic use of Outlook, Excel and data‑entry applications.

• Permanent contract after a successful probation period.
• Competitive salary of £28,000‑£31,000 per annum (DOE).
• Rotating 8‑hour shift pattern (early, late, night) – 37.5 hours per week.
