Warehouse Operative – Driving & Delivery Role

About the role

Like the idea of a warehouse role where you won't spend every day inside the warehouse? This is a varied Warehouse Operative position with a strong driving element, giving you the chance to split your time between preparing orders at the Sunderland branch and getting out on the road delivering directly to customers.

Key responsibilities

• Drive company vehicles to make customer deliveries across the region.
• Build positive relationships with customers through reliable, friendly service.
• Collect warranty and waste products and return them to the branch.
• Load and unload vehicles safely.
• Pick and prepare customer orders.
• Receive, check and put away incoming stock.
• Help manage goods coming into and leaving the warehouse.
• Support stock checks and stock rotation.
• Use warehouse equipment, including pallet trucks and forklifts where appropriate.
• Help maintain a safe, organised and efficient working environment.

Required profile

• Practical, reliable person who enjoys getting on with the job and takes pride in providing good customer service.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Previous delivery driving experience.
• Warehouse, logistics or distribution experience.
• Good communication skills and a reliable, organised approach.
• Ability to manage workload and work to schedules with attention to detail.
• Positive attitude and willingness to help the wider team.

Required skills

• Forklift operation.
• Material handling equipment (MHE) operation.
