Warehouse Operative & Forklift Driver

About the role

We are recruiting a Warehouse Operative / Forklift Driver to join a well‑established manufacturing and distribution business. The role is varied and hands‑on, covering goods‑in, order picking, dispatch and general warehouse operations.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, break down and allocate incoming goods.
• Store products efficiently using warehouse racking.
• Pick and prepare customer orders, completing required paperwork.
• Dispatch goods and coordinate with couriers or transport companies.
• Handle customer collections, including cash and cheques.
• Maintain routine housekeeping and site maintenance.
• Assist with stock checks and operational maintenance of equipment.
• Ensure safe storage practices and contribute to a clean working environment.
• Operate a counter‑balance forklift (training provided).

Required profile

• Previous warehouse experience.
• Valid (or refreshable) counter‑balance forklift licence.
• Good attention to detail and strong organisational ability.
• Basic IT skills, with Excel essential.
• Reliable team player with a strong work ethic.
