Warehouse Operative – Full‑time Rotating Shifts

About the role

Our client in the South West of England is seeking a reliable Warehouse Operative to join a busy distribution centre. The role is full‑time, 37.5 hours per week, with rotating early and late shifts. You will receive training to operate X‑ray equipment and will work in a safety‑focused environment.

Key responsibilities

• Handle and process customer commodities within defined timeframes.
• Operate warehouse scanning systems and record all documentation accurately.
• Comply with health and safety legislation and company policies.
• Follow special instructions on paperwork and ensure proper completion of all records.
• Maintain good timekeeping and adhere to the rotating shift pattern.
• Assist team members and contribute to a collaborative workplace.

Required profile

• Positive attitude, strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
• Physically fit and able to handle loose cargo.
• Not colour‑blind due to X‑ray equipment operation.
• Reliable, safety‑conscious and able to work shift patterns.
• Minimum five years of relevant work history.

Required skills

• FLT licence.
• ADR / hazardous awareness (preferable).
• Knowledge of warehouse scanning systems.
• Basic computer and Android device proficiency.
• Understanding of health & safety legislation.
• Training on X‑ray equipment operation.

What we offer

• Salary £29,000 per year plus shift allowance.
• Rotating Monday‑Friday shift pattern (early 05:00‑13:30, late 10:30‑19:00).
• One‑hour unpaid break per shift.
