Warehouse Operative – Sainsbury's (Haydock)

About the role

Join Randstad's team to work as a Warehouse Operative for Sainsbury's at the Haydock depot. You will operate picking equipment in a chilled environment, helping to build accurate store orders and maintain high quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate Low-Level Order Pickers (LLOP) and Powered Pallet Trucks (PPT) safely to assemble orders.
• Pick a range of essential products including meat, dairy, juices and beverages.
• Maintain product quality to ensure items arrive in perfect condition.
• Work within a chilled depot (3‑5°C) and follow all health and safety procedures.
• Complete full training on picking equipment and pallet trucks.

Required profile

• Ability to work in a chilled warehouse environment.
• Physical fitness to lift up to 20 kg and stand for extended periods.
• Flexibility to work 5 shifts per week, including weekends and Bank Holidays.
• Good spoken and written English with a keen eye for detail.

Required skills

• Low-Level Order Picker operation
• Powered Pallet Truck operation
