Warehouse Operative – Shift Role

About the role

DHL Global Forwarding is seeking a motivated Warehouse Operative to join its UK network. You will work on a rotating shift pattern, handling a wide range of freight while ensuring accuracy, safety and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Process customer commodities within defined timeframes.
• Follow special instructions on paperwork and complete all required documentation.
• Adhere to Health & Safety legislation and company policies.
• Maintain good timekeeping and adapt to the two‑week shift schedule.
• Operate warehouse scanning systems and handle loose cargo safely.
• Ensure all interactions comply with DPDHL Code of Conduct and anti‑corruption standards.
• Contribute to the First Choice continuous improvement programme.

Required profile

• Physically fit and able to hand‑ball loose cargo.
• Minimum five years of warehouse experience.
• Valid FLT (Forklift Truck) licence.
• Knowledge of H&S legislation and warehouse procedures.
• Willingness to work the specified shift pattern.

Required skills

• FLT licence.
• ADR / hazardous awareness (preferable).
• Proficiency with warehouse scanning systems.
• Basic computer or Android device knowledge.
