Warehouse Operative / Storekeeper

About the role

GXO Logistics is seeking a reliable Warehouse Operative/Storekeeper to support the SGN contract in the South East. You will ensure engineers receive the right materials on time, helping keep essential gas services running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to engineer requests and issue materials accurately.
• Pick, pack and prepare orders for collection and operational use.
• Receive deliveries, check and record stock in the system.
• Manage and segregate waste according to company procedures.
• Monitor stock levels, report discrepancies and support stock takes.
• Occasionally travel to other sites using a company vehicle for stock movements.

Required profile

• Previous experience in warehousing, stores or logistics.
• Knowledge of safe manual handling and warehouse safety practices.
• Understanding of stock control and basic inventory systems.
• Strong attention to detail and methodical approach.
• Good organisational skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• Confident communication with engineers and depot colleagues.
• Full UK driving licence (essential).
• Willingness to travel occasionally to other sites.
