Warehouse Operative – Temp to Perm, £13.48‑£14.24/h

About the role

We are seeking motivated Warehouse Operatives to join a leading UK cake and hot dessert manufacturer in Heywood. The role starts on a temporary basis with the prospect of permanent employment after 12 weeks, offering a competitive hourly rate and a 4‑on/4‑off shift pattern.

Key responsibilities

• Pick and pack orders efficiently in a warehouse environment.
• Operate handheld scanners to record stock movements.
• Wrap pallets and handle PPTs and LLOPs safely.
• Maintain a clean and tidy workspace in both chilled and ambient areas.
• Adapt to additional duties as required, demonstrating flexibility.

Required profile

• Previous experience working in a warehouse is essential.
• UK residency with reliable transport to the Heywood site.
• Ability to work rotating day and night shifts (06:00‑18:00 & 18:00‑06:00).
• Willingness to learn new processes and follow health‑and‑safety guidelines.

Required skills

• Proficiency with handheld scanning devices.
