Warehouse Operative – Temp to Permanent

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Warehouse Operative to join a friendly, supportive team in Rayleigh. The role offers a temporary‑to‑permanent full‑time contract, providing training for those new to the sector and a stable environment for experienced candidates.

Key responsibilities

• Read and mark picking lists accurately.
• Locate stock using warehouse location codes.
• Count stock and ensure precise inventory records.
• Label products and prepare orders for dispatch.
• Packing and palletising customer orders.
• Check orders for accuracy and quality before shipment.
• Identify and report any stock location discrepancies.
• Strip and rebuild pallets when required.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe warehouse environment.
• Support colleagues across multiple departments and perform general warehouse duties as needed.

Required profile

• Positive attitude with a willingness to learn.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Good organisational and communication skills.
• Reliable and flexible approach to work.

Required skills

• Previous warehouse experience (essential).
