Warehouse Shift Manager – Back or Night Shift

About the role

Join a large‑scale, highly automated logistics operation in Cambridgeshire as a Warehouse Shift Manager. You will lead a team of 20‑30 operatives on either the back shift (2 pm‑10 pm) or night shift (10 pm‑6 am) and help drive performance, safety and continuous improvement in a fast‑moving distribution environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage a shift team of 20‑30 warehouse operatives.
• Drive operational performance across safety, productivity and service targets.
• Support and embed change initiatives, including automation and system roll‑outs.
• Use operational data and KPIs to identify and implement performance improvements.
• Collaborate with senior leadership on continuous‑improvement projects.
• Maintain high standards of operational excellence throughout the shift.

Required profile

• Proven experience in warehousing, logistics or distribution.
• Demonstrated leadership capability in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong presence with the ability to positively influence teams.
• Comfortable making decisions in change and transformation settings.
• Computer literate with a focus on operational data.
