Warehouse Supervisor

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to lead daily operations in a busy shipping and logistics environment. You will work closely with the Warehouse Manager and Operations team to ensure safe, efficient handling of freight and excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily warehouse activities, ensuring safety and efficiency.
• Lead and support warehouse staff, maintaining high performance standards.
• Check incoming and outgoing freight against shipping documentation.
• Inspect, measure, weigh, label and prepare cargo for export.
• Coordinate LCL freight consolidation and proper cargo segregation.
• Oversee container loading, maximizing utilisation and adhering to safe practices.
• Perform final checks before containers are sealed and dispatched.
• Maintain accurate warehouse records and update the warehouse management system.
• Investigate freight discrepancies, damages and operational issues.
• Ensure housekeeping, health & safety and compliance standards are met.
• Liaise with customers and drivers during deliveries and collections.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Warehouse Supervisor, Senior Warehouse Operative or Team Leader in logistics, freight forwarding or a warehouse setting.
• Proven ability to supervise teams in a fast‑paced environment.
• Good understanding of freight handling, LCL consolidation and container loading.
• Knowledge of export freight and shipping procedures is advantageous.
• Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Proactive, hands‑on approach with the capacity to work under pressure.
