Warehouse Team Leader

About the role

Assist Resourcing is seeking a proactive Warehouse Team Leader to join a well‑known third‑party logistics supplier. After completing training in Warrington, you will be based in Skelmersdale (or Widnes) working a flexible 5‑day rota. The role starts as a temporary contract with the possibility of becoming permanent after 12 weeks.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and motivate a team of up to 30 warehouse staff.
• Conduct shift briefings and monitor staff performance.
• Oversee goods‑in, storage, pick accuracy and dispatch to ensure 100% customer satisfaction.
• Organise daily work plans and guarantee equipment availability for each shift.
• Coordinate daily with Transport, Stock Control and Administration teams.
• Adapt to additional duties as required, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to learn.

Required profile

• Minimum 12 months experience in a similar warehouse leadership role.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• UK residency with the ability to travel to the site for each shift.
• Ability to work five days a week with flexible start times.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
• Competent use of the Microsoft Office Suite.
